As we go about our daily activities, we are encouraged to know the Lord is with us - always! Our 58+ independent residents are provided with the resources for a productive and abundant life.

Our staff from food services provides the main meal of the day. Housekeeping cleans the apartments every other week.

We maintain 42 apartment units in various locations on the campus.  Community space includes the main lounge, dining area, 15 acres of rolling woodlands, open areas with flowering shrubs, and the nature areas around the lake.

Flowers on the Porch
Many of our residents enjoy planting and tending to their own flower and herb gardens.

A substantial number of the units available at Carmel Hills have a deck, or back porch, which allows for the enjoyment of the outdoors right off of the living space.

The units around the north side of the lake have expansive green belts surrounding them.

Birds in the Trees
While standing in my doorway, sipping that first cup of coffee... I saw the fast-beating wings of that little faerie, flitting from flower to flower... darting quick and hovering, flying low and fluttering... it was all worth it in that one moment.

and the humming birds and cardinals light up the day.

With 15 acres of natural setting, the North Carolina bird species have lots of room to spread their wings.
